There are some amazing not for profit technology companies that are absolutely vital to the future of our oceans, planet and human life itself. The plastic building up in our oceans and entering our food supply is downright scary, if there is to be any hope for the future of our oceans we need these companies to scale as quickly as possible. Some of them, like The Ocean Cleanup, have developed and are developing real world technology that is already having an impact on this global problem.
